Ahhh...the memories

It's no secret that Sam & I were never very happy with our engagement or wedding pictures. I don't think we realized how important it would be to get a good photographer. They are all the same, right? wrong. Anyway, thought I'd play around with some in Photoshop and give them a little more zing. I think I like them much better. Maybe even enough to actually put some on our walls? What amazes me is that they are pretty good pictures as far as composition, poses, etc, they were just boring. Not a whole lot of post-process went into the prints we got straight from the photographer.

Wow all of your pictures in your recent posts are beautiful! I love the one of Andrew in front of the window and posed. SO CUTE! They grow so fast huh?! Hey, I would love a tutorial on how to do all that stuff in Photoshop since I got the program for my birthday!! YEA!

Great touches! So how have you learned everything over the years about photography?

They look great. Brett and I didn't realize how important it would be to find a photographer that would give, or even sell, you the digital rights to our pictures. Hence, we are her mercy to do any changing or printing. I guess that's why we have a camera of our own now ;)

Sabrina-
Sam was very adamant about getting our wedding digital negs. I didn't think it was a big deal at the time, but I'm really glad we did.

Mel-
Mostly just playing around. Took some UVSC community ed classes. Lots of practice, reading books, etc. Sam taught me the stuff he learned in high school.

I feel the same way, I wish we had a better photographer! That is my advice now to everyone getting married, get a good photographer! Where in photoshop do you make the corners dark like that? I have photoshop and am such an amateur, i really need to take a class. Maybe I'll just try and find tutorials online.

These look great! I'm not thrilled with our wedding photos either. And we didn't even get decent poses, at least not decent backgrounds. But you have given me a great idea! I think I'm going to plop us into some other photos of the temple we were married in. LOL!
